About Tuk Tuk Thai Street Food
Thai Street Food
Located at 201 E 4th St #139, Santa Ana, CA 92701, Tuk Tuk Thai Street Food operates as a thai restaurant serving Santa Ana in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Ana follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was okay. The chicken wasnβt seasoned at all but it worked because the pad Thai was way too rich and oily (in my opinion). The food wasnβt bad it was just okay and I felt for the price itβs sufficient. The service wasnβt great but it wasnβt bad, the person taking my order and giving me my food clearly didnβt want to be there and was no help with my questions about the menu but she wasnβt overly rude. Other restaurant workers around the market are MUCH friendlier. The good: great portion size, lots of chicken in the pad Thai, lots of flavor, and the food came out fast. In short this place is just OKAY. And in this economy I donβt want to spend my money somewhere just OKAY. Unfortunately, it was my first and last time trying this place.

A solid on-the-go Thai spot located in the 4th street market food court. The guy working the counter was very friendly and the service was fast. I hadnβt looked up this spot before trying it and I didnβt have any expectations but I was very impressed with the quality of the food. We ordered the Green Curry w/ chicken and the Tom Yum Fried Rice and both were great! The green curry chicken came in a large portion size and came with rice. The dish had a generous amount of meat and a perfect balance of vegetables (bamboo, green beans and pepper). Flavor was on point with a strong blend of Thai basil and lemongrass with a distinct (but not overpowering) hit of fish sauce. The Tom Yum Fried Rice w/ fried tofu had an excellent texture and a really savory flavor blend with a rich but subtle soy sauce/golden mountain sauce flavor. A great meal at a reasonable price. Will go back!

Great food-- but need to point out the extremely friendly service! This location is right near the John Wayne airport, so I had a friend picking food up as I was landing. The lady who served her was so nice, she gave her a free large Thai Tea when she heard that she was waiting for me to arrive at the airport. That alone is worth at least 4 stars to me! π§β€οΈ π· Pork Pad See Ew: This was the BEST crispy pork! The food actually kept so well in the to-go box, it was still plenty warm and fresh when we got home (and I even had a flight delay!) π Crab Fried Rice: Loved the option to add a little spice, no notes at all! This seems to be a crowd favorite and I can see why. I really appreciate the attention to detail and excellent customer service. Still dreaming about that crispy pork!

This place looked super promising. I ordered a chicken fried rice and just upon inspection it looked bland, dry, and low quality. The chicken was overdone. Absolutely no seasoning or taste. Seriously one of the worst fried rice Iβve ever bought at a restaurant. Fried rice is so easy and even bad fried rice is good so I really donβt know how they messed this one up. SIDE NOTE: this fried rice is AFTER I put soy and chili sauce on it, so it was even blander and colorless looking before.
